2009-10 Duke Basketball Preview

2009 ACC Basketball Tournament Bracket and Preview. The 2009 ACC tournament brackets are now set that the season is complete. The North Carolina Tar Heels and The Duke Blue Devils had one of the most exciting games of the final day of the regular season with UNC coming out on top. Going into the tournament, North Carolina is the clear favorite with Duke a close second and Wake Forest and Florida State being strong teams to contend for the conference tournament championship. Virginia Tech may also be able to play the Cinderella role in the 2009 ACC tournament if Duke or North Carolina hiccup along the way.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview – North Carolina

North Carolina comes into the 2009 ACC tournament as the clear cut favorite with a Nr 1 NCAA tournament seed theirs to lose. They handled Duke in both games during the regular season and take a three game winning streak into the postseason. They currently sit with a 26-3 record.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview- Duke

The Blue Devils come into the 2009 ACC tournament with a 25-6 record and the only loss in their last five games was to the Tar Heels. They are a different Duke team than the one Coach K started the season with and could very well win the 2009 ACC tournament and make a play for a number 1 seed in the 2009 NCAA tournament.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview- Wake Forest

Wake Forest comes into the 2009 ACC tournament with a 24-5 record and have beaten both North Carolina and Duke during the season. They’re ranked 10th in the country and could very likely end up with at least a number 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

2009 ACC Tournament Preview – Florida State

Florida State was able to achieve a Nr 20 ranking heading in to the ACC tournament to go with their 23-8 record. They lost a few close contests to Duke and Pitt this year and may just have enough talent gelling at the right time to win the 2009 ACC tournament!
